Doctors of Chiropractic - practice a drug-free, hands-on approach to health care that includes patient examination, diagnosis and treatment. Chiropractors have broad diagnostic skills and are also trained to recommend therapeutic and rehabilitative exercises, as well as provide nutritional, dietary and lifestyle counseling. The most common therapeutic procedure performed by doctors of chiropractic is known as “spinal manipulative therapy.”

Spinal manipulation helps to:

• restore normal joint movement
• decrease pain
• reduce muscle tension
• increase mobility and flexibility
• increase vitality

Occasionally a cracking or popping sensation is heard during an adjustment. This represents air going through a joint surface very quickly. Gases can build up in a joint space like a bubble. When the adjustment is performed it allows the gas to be released. While many patients enjoy hearing this sound, the sound itself does not indicate the quality of the adjustment received.
